Description: Join Parenting Off The Beaten Path for our next Tots in Tents camping weekend! This two-night tent camping event is specifically designed for families with children ages 0-6 (older siblings welcome). Our trips are suitable for beginners and seasoned campers alike. About This Trip: Please read all of the details for this trip in our Google Doc. This includes information about park gate opening/closing hours overnight, bathroom details (flush toilets vs pit toilets), and a more specific agenda.

    • Arrival and tent set up

    • Morning group activity (ex: guided hike, lake, visitor center museum)

    • Free play at campsite, lunch (BYO), rest

    • Afternoon group activity (ex: hike, lake, visitor center museum)

    • Campfire and marshmallows (provided)

    • Evening adult-only campfire

    • Pack up and depart by 12:00pm

• What We Provide

  • Connection and preparation support before the event

  • Breakfast for all adults/children x 2 mornings (including alternatives for dietary restrictions)

  • Instant coffee packets, creamer, and hot chocolate packets (BYO mugs)

  • Marshmallows for all adults/children x 2 nights (including vegan marshmallows)

  • All firewood, kindling, and tools needed for campfires

  • Communal outdoor toys (trucks, animals, balls, mud kitchen tools)

  • Communal board books/picture books

• What You Bring

  • Tent

  • Sleeping mats

  • Sleeping bags, blankets, pillows

  • Camping chairs

  • Personal items: Clothing, toiletries, etc

  • Food: Lunches, Dinners, Snacks (*breakfast provided)

  • Cooking supplies: camp stove, pots/pans, cooler/ice, plates and utensils, reusable mugs, water bottles.

Cost: Your registration covers the expense of renting the campsite(s), firewood, breakfasts & marshmallows, keeping the toy and book bins stocked, overhead website costs, etc. Trip leaders are paid a small stipend for their efforts on-site.
