Event Details:
Bring your sense of adventure to our “Preschool Pathways” class - an inspiring space for parents to learn how to foster curiosity, creativity, and independence outdoors in the preschool years. Each class blends philisophical and evidence-based discussion (outdoor play and school readiness, the importance of unstructured play, getting comfortable with risky play) and practical tips of getting outside (planning successful outings, encouraging exploration while setting boundaries, preschool-specific outdoor gear, troubleshooting common barriers, and more.
This session is virtual! This is not your typical “mommy and me” class with stories, music, movement routines, etc. This is a parent class. Attend from the livingroom while you little one plays nearby or try to do the “nap-math” to have them sleeping during class - since this is a class for parents, you have the ultimate flexibility!
You’ll leave class with a nuanced family nature plan for the presschool years. Whether you’re new to the outdoors yourself or already an outdoor-lover looking to incorporate your newest family member, this series is for you.
