Raven Rock State Park itinerary

  • 3:00pm - Set up at your campsite.‍ ‍Campground check-in begins at 3:00pm. You can arrive and begin setting up your tent and gear on your personal campsite anytime between 3:00pm and 8:00pm when the park gate closes.

    7:00pm - Group campfire. Join us for a group campfire, marshmallow roasting, and stories. Marshmallows provided. BYO skewers and chairs.

    9:00pm - Adults only campfire. Any adults who are able are invited to gather around the campfire again, this time for chatting and relaxing. For adults and babies-in-arms only. No alcohol. BYO chairs.

  • 8:00am - Morning hot beverages. Whether you’ve already had breakfast or are just rolling out of your tent, join us for some coffee, tea, or hot chocolate at the group gathering site. BYO mugs and chairs.

    10:00am - Group hikes. Meet at the Raven Rock Loop parking lot/trailhead. There are three hiking length options -

    • 0.7 miles: American Beech Trail

      • Right on Raven Rock Loop, right on American Beech Trail, left back on Raven Rock Loop, back to parking.

    • 2.6 miles: Raven Rock Loop

      • Right on Raven Rock Loop. Take staircase down to Raven Rock / river’s edge. Climb stairs back up, turn right to complete Raven Rock Loop.

    • 3.9 miles: Raven Rock + Fish Traps

      • Right on Raven Rock Loop. Take staircase down to Raven Rock / river’s edge. Climb stairs back up, turn right onto Raven Rock Loop. Turn right on Fish Traps Trail to the river/dam remains. Backtrack on Fish Traps Trail then continue straight/right onto Raven Rock Loop back to parking.

  • Panelists share quantitative findings, regulatory considerations, and implementation roadmaps that broaden understanding and inspire evidence-based advocacy within participant organizations.

  • 4:00pm - Visitor Center + Short Hike. Join us at the Visitor Center to look at a few educational exhibits. We will then take a casual walk on the Longleaf Loop Trail (0.2 miles, rugged stroller friendly).
